also turbo tony. where are you from? just wondering if your are close to montana or how you heard about this ty?

Im about 7 hours north of Great Falls.

Me and Dean saw this truck on a trip down to pick up Deans Syclone back in the day. Thinking back the owner at the time had just installed the cladding after the paint etc. I think I put a walboro in for him in a parking lot too lol.

7500 seems like a lot for something with a salvage title and mileage questions. Personally I would away, there are a lot of good trucks listed on here for sale.

yeah i have looked at most of them. i'm really not looking to buy one tomorrow or anything. but since we don't have many ty/sy come around MT i figured if this ty was a smokin deal id jump on it. but after digging into it a lot more. it just doesn't seem right for me. i am very picky and after thinking it over i really want something with a clean title. Once i get one. i'll probably never get rid of it. it would be hard for me to invest money into something with a bummed title.

Why would you invest $7500 in it? I don't know what they're selling for these days, but that price is soft.
Tell the guy that the salvage title decreases the value & the broken tabs on the cladding means finding a replacement (expensive since GM no longer supplies them) and painting.
Shoot him a lowball offer & see how he responds. "I can buy a good running Ty w/ clean title for $4500"
You're prepared to walk away & you're probably the only one interested in it (tho' they always say that someone else is gonna buy it if you don't grab it first).
Is it worth 1/2 what he's asking?

Don't do it... not worth the money with the title issue along plus the mileage issue as well that truck is worth more in parts then together.

To buy that then fix whatever hack jobs you'll uncover wouldn't make sense even if you planned on keeping the truck for many years down the road when these trucks may actually have value to them yours won't due to a sketchy past (title and mileage)

You guys realize you're responding to a post from a year and a half ago by a guy who no longer signs on, right?
