Intro 93 Ty #0471

Hello, all.

I'm Moose, and am coming on board for a little this-n-that on my uncle's '93 Typhoon, #0471. He calls it the Toaster - white with black interior, stock as far as I know, and a lot of fun to putz around in.

So here's the run down: We're looking for a mechanic in south-central Michigan, I'm a slow typer (typist?), I've learned that the back seat doesn't really 'latch', the 700 rpm 'miss' is common, the boost gauge is ornamental, and we might pop in at the Home Coming.

I'm a GM truck guy; couple of Burbs, 1t van, Sierra, and some other stuff floating around. I'm pretty handy with the basic 'truck' stuff, but I haven't messed with engine in the Toaster, which is what brings me here.

I'll keep checking the search, figure which forums to use, and ask questions when I think of them.

Thanks,
Moose

White is one of my favorite color on one of these, I couldnt help it notice that there is a significant amount of Sy / Ty owners in Michigan. I never see them around where I am from (New Jersey / NYC)

Thanks, gang.

Yup, it is pretty clean. It had a hard go of it a few years back - stored in the wrong building...
Different hood, L fender, air box, stearing column, but otherwise original.

I'll ask questions as I think of them. Mostly, is there a turbo/intake guy around the Battle Creek / Marshall area? Our local shop doesn't want to mess with it, and the stealership isn't thrilled, either.

Yeah, white. All of my uncle's stuff is white. He loves it. I always have the urge to clean them, which is probably why I get to borrow whatever, whenever. I'm this close to talking him into a CTS-V wagon (Hennessey V700 Hammer Wagon, actually) That'll probably be white, too. Where's my wash bucket?

Have fun,
