Just posting to find intrest level in a conversion heads up class for the SY/TY nationals. Rules would be like this:

Outlaw Sy/TY
Class for conversion vehicles. Must either be a motor/drivetrain conversion to a Sy/TY/So GT or a Sy/Ty motor (4.3L V6 evenfire Turbo) conversion into another vehicle for example, but not limited too:
2 wd conversion to a Pro street Syclone or wheelstanding Typhoon
Ls1 in So GT
Twin turbo small block in Sy/TY
Sy/Ty motor in to Fiero, etc.
Eligibility subject to Sy/TY Nationals committee approval

Don't really see the point. I thought there was already an "Outlaw" class for the more extreme vehicles and the 2wd guys. So why not keep it that way and include these?

The previous unlimited class has NEVER had a truck participate. It would go away and be rolled into the outlaw class.

Was unaware of that. Well sign me up for whatever one I would fit in, which I think would be this one.

Carb'd
Fogger
2wd.

I think it is a great idea. Would it still be bracket racing - or heads-up first to the finish line?

I think it has to be some sort of bracket racing based on weight IMHO.

There would have to be a lot of participation to do that. This was just a Idea to get more trucks to show at nats and since more and more people are going this route of sticking something into a Sy/TY/So GT chassis.

BTW Let me get this straight, Marlboro Typhoon you are wanting/planning to come to SY/TY Nats X?

Why would someone ruin a truck even doing this?

different strokes for different folks. I don't think the people who have these trucks appreciate others knocking what they have spent their time and dollar on. Hope your attitude changes on that once you see some of them run.

Pay no attention to him, he is a smart ass!! Jeff is in the process( 4+ years) of putting a Twin GT35 Turbo V8 into his Typhoon. He hopes to have done by nats 2007.

He can't blame the trans. It's done. As soon as he gets my control arms done it's all his.

Last year there was one Turbo Buck there. I'm still thinking about brining my Camaro.. It's a Buick engine. Maby just run for fun or exibition or whatever.
I'm not sure if the 98 Jimmy will be done with the Typhoon left over parts and at that point i'm out of drivers anyway. I can't bring them all. Unless the Jimmy is done and someone else close wants to drive it out and beat the crap out of it?
How many 4.3L hybrids are there anyway?
There's a ton of 3.8L hybrids but not many done running 4.3L if I had to guess.
