how badly does insurance rape you w/ owning a fast car like aty or sy... i know that it all depends... but on a clean record (no tickets, or wrecks) how bad would it be? if it's bad at all...?

28 clean record, 250 deductible and it is 72 month in kansas with shelter. And they do recognize it as a syclone and not a 4wd sonoma. Made sure cause I didn't want to run into any problems

im a 24 year old male in NJ, all 3 make me elegible for the highest rates in this country, I pay $164.48 / month with full coverage and a $100 deductable on everything including glass. I have a totally clean record but if you pay more that your getting hosed.

I really need to be a 25 y/o female in another state.....

20 year old male and I only pay 80 bux for 6 months.....

...but thats because the Ty is in "storage" :D

Otherwise I'd pay 800/6mos full coverage w/ GMAC on my dad's policy, and me as primary driver.

I was pretty sure Massachusetts had overall higher insurance rates than New Jersey. At least when I lived in Mass. over 50% of the licensed drivers were considered uninsurable, but by law the insurance companies had to insure them anyway, thus everybody's rates were higher.

I am 18 year old Male living in KS with a perfectly clean record and full coverage is about $170 with a $500 deductiable. I also have an 89 Blazer has another car for like 30 a month bc i get a multicar, good student, and drivers ed reduction but none of that seems to matter on the typhoon bc i am 18.

No you dont, I just got my new policy  They want $2800 a year! I am 27 and have a clean record. I had to change companies and got it down to $1800 a year, thats the best i could do.

WOW..for once I think I am getting a good deal. I am 29. In NY (upstate). have a clean record. multicar policy, with 500 collusion ded..full coverage and I pay 547.00 a year for the Syclone..and I have that nice note on the bottom that says "performance car surcharge applied to auto 2". If you guys with a clean record are intrested I have my insurance with Erie Ins group, they killed everyone elses rate. But they are picky. When I first got my ins. with them I have a 91 Crx Si and they sent me a letter saying that they usually don't insure "sports cars" with new policy holders but because I had a clean record they would allow it. I thought that was funny..My 109hp sports car. Wanna hear something else? it's $9.00 more a year for my Syclone than it was for the CRX..

Stab it and steer it
I pay $400/yr in Calif. However, it's agreed value (14k) and 1000 miles per year. We'll see how it goes, I may up the mileage.

I'm also 60 yrs old and no tickets (at least in the last few years :)) and no accidents.

I concede. I've never lived in NJ, and the only state I've had to pay for insurance in is AK. In any case, I pay more for liability on my '84 Volvo than you do for full coverage on your Ty, so quit complaining! :D

I'm 28, with a clean record in Sugar Land, TX (right outside of Houston) and mine is 50 a month for full coverage with a 250 deduct.
Just again make sure that it shows up as a Typhoon on the insurance!!
