Installing Belltech lowering leafs...

Do I need a special set of shocks due to the 3-4" lowering or will the standard OEM replacement part numbers work?

Are KYB Monomax or ones that are gas adjustable preferred?

You will want to get a shock that is for a 2-4in lowered truck. My i know my rancos RSX's (think thats what i got) were for a 2-4in drop.

I don't have any drop shocks on my truck, and its lowered 2.5" with blocks..

Thats because when you lower with blocks you aren;t lowering the suspension itself.
Just placing aspacer block between the axle and the leaf spring
So your shock mounting points do not change.

Yes with lowering leafs you hsould get a lowering shock.
I am still using the Bilstein HDs with no ill effects.

Update:

I installed the lowering leafs and the KYB Monomax drop shocks. It was a complete PITA since the lower bolts were rusted solid through the leaf spring joint. The Belltechs did not come with any sort of shim and they fit really well without the stock shim so I left it out completely. I heard from other posts they only got about a 1" drop, but for me it was about a solid 3" drop at least, but keep in mind I also removed the air compressor which was always pushing the ass up in the air. This is the only pic I have at the moment, will update with more soon.

The front needs lowered still and you can also see the new 18" whitey ZR-1 replicas. More pics when its actually completed.

I still need to cut the front axles and paint the centercaps. A lot of small stuff to do now.

The monochrome setup always looks awesome on all white vehicles I think, yours is no exception !!

What Belltech Springs did you order ?? I was wanting to either run those springs or a custom 4-link setup if I dont go with the Vette IRS, but I was unsure which drop to order.. I assume U ordered the 4" drop ?? Part # for the springs ??

Please post some side shots of the truck.. That looks good in the pic you posted but would be nice to see the side view !

Right now I have the drop blocks and they arent the best for racing.. Axle windup is terrible !!
