truck is a 91 syclone, (SYTYGUYJEFF) i think my friends name is on here. it ran perfectly fine 100% stock when entering my garage. I installed a bunch of parts and now it runs poorly/barely runs. I will list the parts installed at the bottom after i describe whats happening. Soo the truck starts up like it should and tachs out to 1500 (cold start) then imediatly drops to 500rpms maybe and thats with me pedalling it to keep it alive. The truck has a wideband and its reading in the 10s at idle which is PIG rich. fuel pressure was set at 45psi base i believe, and even when i turn the fuel pressure down SUPER low (20psi) it doesnt change anything. Also, because it runs soo rich it wont tach out past 3000rpms, it almost sounds like it is on the 2step hesitating and it spools the turbo, but wont make above 1psi, i can barely drive it from the garage to the side yard. I have to pedal it in order to keep it alive and it seems like the engine response doesnt co-ordinate with my pedal movements. (TPS?) IT will hold a piss poor idle once warmed up. It almost seems like a severe vacuum leak, BUT i only removed the throttle body when installing all the parts and the gasket is in excellent condition. The truck has brand new vacuum lines and they are installed 100% correctly, i checked 5 times to be sure. The directions were simple, the kit came from some member here on this board.
All the engine and chassis grounds are connected, the firing order is correct, the injector clips are on the correct injectors. No matter how i adjust the distributor, it doesnt change a thing. I am tempted to put my Ls1 30# injectors in it to see what it does. It currently has 50# with the proper chip to run them.
-Parts installed-
2800 stall converter
61mm turbo
50# injectors (could they be low impedance instead of high?) or vice versa...
255 walbro fuel pump
3"DP
3" exhaust no cat
FMIC
MSD 6al box
3bar MAP
adjustable FPR w/ gauge
wideband (plx)
new vac lines
plugs gapped to .28 (i think, cant remember) maybe .24
wires, cap, rotor
boost gauge
