injector balance test

Just got my hands on a Toolaid #37500 injector tester. Gonna test my injectors this weekend. I knew the procedure, but have two questions.

1. What's the proper method to remove the injector's connector? There is metal clip. Do I have to remove it? Also, is it possible to remove all the connectors with the IC on?

2. The tester has three modes. 100x 4ms pulses, 10x 40ms pulses, 1x 400ms pulse. Which should I use? I guess it wants to represent idle, part throttle and wot. I planned to use 1x 400. Is that right?

TIA,

Just push in on the metal clip, then pull the connector off. You don't have to remove the clip.

I don't know the answer to the mode question. I've use one before, but don't remember it having different modes.

Thanks Jim. Just made the test. Just to share this experience here is a little info which might be usefull. First I found easier to remove all the metal clips from the connector when the truck was cold then plug them back. This way it was much easier to remove the connectors when the intake is hot (you should do the test with a warm engine), you wont' burn your hands. I let her idling to reach operating temperature, than let her cool down a bit.

Finally I used 1x 400ms on the tester. My initial pressure was 47 psi all the time and all of my injectors dropped it to 32 psi. So I'm happy, so far. Pluged everything back and started the truck after testing all the injectors. It started a bit hard, but I guess it's because the little flooding which the test caused.

That's it. Peace,
