Is the ignition coil wire supposed to have more resistance than the rest of the plug wires. I have a couple of these and they exhibit this characteristic. Should i try to make a coil wire with the lowest resistance possible? Thanks for the imput guys.
On the contrary.....due to the fact that coil wire is the shortest wire of a wire set (usu.), it will have the least amount of resistance (resistance rated ohms/ft). Here's a write-up from some time ago, that goes into what to expect out of a set of wires.
i just took my taylor wires off in favor of the moroso ultra 40 wires.
they show on a meter at 40 ohms per foot! just as advertised. 8.5mm dia.

just because so many people swear by something on this bbs doesnt mean its the ultimate best way to go! heat shield boots on all of them helps also.
True ed, i'm happy with my msd's, about 100ohms/foot. I also have the msd heat shielding that slips over the wires, a must when getting near the dp. Maybe next time if i'm feeling like trying something new i'll give the moroso's a shot
