Well, I was planning on shipping yours and the other silver one out tomorrow, but since I forgot to bring home my damn welding helmet, I kinda screwed that up, so they will be going out Thursday morning.

Re: IC Scoop GP - $75 + Shipping

ok, update... FINALLY got home from work at a reasonable hour today, got ALL of the scoops welded up, now they just need final prep before they go into the oven and with any luck I can get a couple in the mail on Saturday.

Again I aplogize for the delays, that whole sander issue really screwed up my time table for getting these suckers done, but nevertheless I have NO PLANS for this weekend other than to get these things powderd and put into boxes, which reminds me I need to find some boxes

Mine was waiting for me when I got home yesterday, looks awsome. I do have one question though. When I installed it, the two brackets that you drill the holes in sit about 3/8" further apart than the scoop. When I tighten things up it pulls the sides of the scoop away from each other which gives the bottom of the scoop a slight upward bow. It actually makes it look even better cause it seems to follow the bumper contour a bit. Anyway my question is, is that ok, or do I need to make a spacer to fill the gap?

Mine came in yesterday. I have a lot of work to do this weekend. 1)istall IC scoop. 2)install MSD box and Harness. 3) Possibly install Waller Turbo & exhaust wrap.
I have a question: Where is the best place to mount the MSD box??

it should be ok, ive certainly never seen a gap that big but I suppose it can happen the way GM built these things. The scoop certainly isnt going to break because of a little pulling on the sides.

my question is, is the 3/8" a total gap, or 3/8" on each side, cause if its each side then there is something not right somewhere and if its with the scoop ill obviously make it right.

3/8" total gap, which isn't much. Believe me I know of GM's tolerances or lack there of. I just wanted to double check. I actually like the slight bow it has, to me it follows the bumper contours very well. "Job well done", thanks for fabricating such a sweet product!
