IC pump trick??

Had someone tell me a few days ago that if I were to ground the wire that switches the IC pump on it would turn the pump on as soon as I start the TY. Anyone ever heard of that or done it?

Re: IC pump trick??

I just looked at the fuse and is was a 10amp fuse and it was blown. So I guess I have been driving around since I got it (3 weeks ago) With no IC pump working.
Thanks again, Don

Re: IC pump trick??

Started doing this mod to my Sy this evening, after finishing up my IC and CAC upgrade (pump and fan). I grounded the yellow wire and no pump/fan??! Took out my multimeter and found that the fusible link that supplies high-current voltage to the relay is blown/bad. So, for the last month, I've been running around with an inop stock CAC pump! ... glad I wasn't driving it much. I'm going on vacation for a few weeks, but will post some pics when I get back. Remember, even if the fuse is good, the fusible link at the battery may be bad.
