IA temps ?

Last night i put on dm while just cruising. I almost drove off the road when i saw that the ia temps were at 201.4! So i thought my brand new shurflo failed!!!!! So this morning i tested the ic in the driveway and it flows. I had one hose in a pail of water and i watched it going. I have the atr aux cooler inline with it too. Ok so i put it back together and tested it. With the egr on my temps were screaming. I disconnected it and the temps stayed between 116-124 at wot. It's like 80 degrees here right now. Is this right? Why are the temps so high with the egr on???

Because your exhaust gas is hot and is being recirculated. If timing is retarded, exhaust gases will be even hotter.

Do yourself a favor.. Plug the line for the EGR vacuum supply. (disabling it).. And get a chip from the peeps that eliminate the ECM checking it (therefore eliminating any trouble lights).. With that setup you can still pass the emissions visual check and have a much happier truck overall.. Once the intake gets heat soaked its impossible to cool it back down in a relative timeframe.
