save the extra $800, its not worth it, they will replace stuff with junk remanufactured parts.

Re: I need advice

Well I got new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and NEW GAS! I am now officially impressed. It’s a fast truck. It has smooth hard acceleration. The transmission shifts hard. There sure is a lot of ticking and knocking coming from the engine when it idols. I was told most of it is injector noise. I let it run and tried too hear noise coming from any of the cylinders. I could hear nothing. The only time you can hear it is when Im in the truck.

Congratulations, glad it is going well. Just for reference, my parts were all new GM parts.

Re: I need advice

Warranty is a joke. I helped my dad buy a minivan for work and he did the same thing spent an extra 800 dollars on a warranty that gave him hell. The tranny crapped out about three months later they told him we only pay out a max of 250 dollars a YEAR. Totally bull shit but he made out. Every year for three years i put in a claim so he could get his money back. It worked but what hell it was. The only thing i recommend is to start reading this forum , use the search it is fantastic and helpful. ALso get ready to hate the truck when you get bangs and bruises trying to fix them. But then again put a smile on your face when you are enjoying them. Welcome and congrats.

Re: I need advice

I guess I really cant see where I can go wrong here. I pay a one time $800; that’s it......
I get $3,000 for engine, $2000 for transmission, $1500 for transfer Case, $75 for towing, $100 for car rental. I called the company myself and tried to find to loop holes and understand it better. Seems to be pretty strait forward. Maybe they will even let me take it to a reputable shop for repairs and I could pay a little extra to get the quality fix I want. Thank you guys for your concern. I guess time will tell.
