I am looknig at buying a Ty very, very soon. I have been looking for a year now, and I am finally ready. The only thing is there are little to none for sale near me (Wisconsin). Any ideas or tips from ya would be appreciated. I have looked everywhere I can think of, and yes, I have looked on this site. I am considering looking at auto brokers, anyone have any advice on that. Thanks in advance!

TRAVEL If your afraid of traveling some distance your limiting yourself. If I was up north I would be looking for a southern vehicle anyways.

Re: I need a TY

Mine was shipped from NJ, I only saw pics of it. When it comes to long-distance buys, communication is KEY! Good luck on finding a truck, there's one out there somewhere for ya. Whereabouts in WI are you located?

I went to Calf. to buy my Typhoon and it was in Az before Calf. I am sure glad that I did. They last a long time out there and look great.

Wow, thank you! That is a great site. Still anyone know much about brokers? Any thing that I should worry about when buying in the winter months? Thanks again. Oh yeah, I am in Rhinelander Wi, since someone asked.

I am selling my black 1992 Typhoon. It has 127,000 miles. It needs some work done to the outside, I don't have the funds to fix it. I live in Tacoma, WA. I'm asking $8000 obo.

Well, if you buy it from ALASKA (like I did), might wanna wait until the temp comes above 20 BELOW ZERO (as the seller and I did)...and then ship it enclosed (as I did).

Re: I need a TY

Dave,

I would rather buy a '93 but would take a '92. Monochrome is perfered, black or white but the white or green two tones are nice too. I don't like the red trucks. The wife is worried about the price, I was originally looking at very low mileage trucks, like 20,000 miles or so and was willing to pay. But now am looking to stay around $10K. I like trucks that don't have a ton of mods, but this one from Opleez has recently caught my eye. I am thinking that I would drive the truck, but not track it. It would not be a daily driver, but it would not sit all the time. I would like to be a very informed buyer and then be an owner that is able to help others with what ever I can, like you all do. Let me just say that I have loved the openness of everyone here and how everybody is so helpful.

MERRY XMAS and Happy birthday to the five or six members that share this birthday with me.
