its not a SyTy, but i thought it would be worthy. i had already removed the condensor for the Corvette radiator, so now all thats left is to lose my serp pulleys/brackets.

all that weighs a little over 20lbs. the heat only box is only about 5lbs.

Very nice and how is the 355 treating you? I followed your truck over on s10forum and always liked your truck.

keep up the good work.

Re: I lost 15lbs in 2hrs

thanks for the complements. the 350 is pretty good, but it has its issues. im still running all the 305 gear. i couldn't see getting bigger injectors and PROM, and then replacing them with 50# or whatever i end up with. also, it only has 083 heads, which are swirl port junk. combine that with the 10.5 comp ratio, and it really hates spark advance. all in all, its a very good running motor. its got tons of low-end torque, and keeps me out of trouble by falling on its face at 3500rpm.

You should have lost more than that.
What about the compressor & condenser core?

reading owns you!

haha, just joshin ya. im gonna be getting billet specialties conversion kit, and then that compressor is gone. it weighs a ton on there along with the smog pump.

this winter im gonna pull the dash, so i can feed the harness through the firewall and have the correct wiring to the motor and resistors. gotta keep my eyes peeled for the control panel in my local boneyards.

Re: I lost 15lbs in 2hrs

after the V8 swap, i had nowhere to mount the condenser, so i decided i would loose the A/C. im not a fan of leaving the A/C heater box on, so i just left it all hooked up. i have just now gotten around to painting and installing this heat only box.

ill have plenty of room for the turbo and plumbing now. and even more once the battery is in the back. im gonna make a fiberglass enclosure for the batt, amp, and a sub. ill post pics as i make more progress. im gonna also be fabbing up some headers real soon, stay tuned -Jim.
