I put a new brake pump and rear cylinders brakes and the brake pedal still going all away through. Anyone knows what could be the problem??
Did you bleed the brakes? Did you have this problem before you replaced those parts?
a) Does the truck stop at all?
b) Can you pump up the pedal and will it then hold firm?
still have the abs installed ? have you tried doing a line clamp test ?
You can pump the pedal and it goes all away down
If you pump the brakes and the pedal still goes to the floor then the master cylinder is probably bad. Try to explain the original problem first.
Also just to be sure, take the cover off the reservoir /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-parent:""; margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} @page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in; mso-header-margin:.5in; mso-footer-margin:.5in; mso-paper-source:0;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> (on top of the master cylinder) and make sure it's not empty. There are 2 compartments. Then have a helper press VERY SLOWLY on the pedal and see if you get little air bubbles or a little stream of brake fluid coming up from the bottom in both reservours.
We were doing an off frame restauration, we have been working on the truck for the past 5 years, know we are finishing the truck and we put a new pump brake and the rear cylinder and the pedal still goes all away down, you refer to the master cylinder is the (abs system located at the left fender)??
