Hey guys. For those of you who have hydra boost or are going to, I have built a bracket that eliminates the need for cutting the shaft off and welding it. This is good for a few reasons.
1) Not everyone is capable of welding, let alone cutting:lol:
2) If your unit goes bad you don't have to bring your rigged up core in and get the third degree.
3) When you get your new unit, you don't have to go go to the junkyard and get another shaft from an S10 brake booster.
This makes your hydra boost (especially if you go the cheap route) a bolt in deal. I am just going to go ahead and say $65 shipped to the lower 48. $65 + shipping anywhere else.
Here is how they start life:
Here they are put together
Slide your backing plate on to the hydra boost unit, with the semi circle facing up
Slide your hydra boost unit in to place, then bolt it down
Slide the smaller bracket over the shaft pin with the 3/8" tubing facing the driver side
Then the shaft lock goes on to the shaft pin( do not tighten yet)
Slide the hydra boost shaft on the the extension bracket
Locate your switch bracket
Use the old bolt
Install the switch bracket
Locate this bracket and place the short side over the old bolt and the longer side up to the extension bracket
Put your nut on the bolt and it should look something like this
When you are done, take a 1/8" long allen wrench and tighten down shaft collar (on the shaft pin). Don't throw away any of your old parts as you never know when you may need them.
If anyone wants theirs painted I will paint them for no money. You want powder coat, you will pay what I have to pay unless everyone wants them powder coated, I would have to bring them down tomorrow and get an estimate. Let me know if you guys are interested. You can paypal @ happy_turf@yahoo.com and add 3% for the fee or you can send me a money order or check to

Let me know if you guys have any questions. The install itself is not too bad, it is kind of a PITA since you are going to be under the dashboard but all in all not a bad deal.
Also, you may or may not need to adjust the brake switches afterward.
If anyone is unsatisfied, you can send it back and I will send you back your money.
