How would you spend $5K on my truck???

Hi all,

I would like to know how would you guys spend $5K on MY truck on perofrmance mods and/or looks . My truck has 60K, and here are the mods: TIAL 40, AFPR, IC pump, Walbro, Scantool, 160 stat, cone filter, atr wires, Rerouted IC lines. Also I know that my tranny is going to fail soon so take into consideration a rebuild(How much would you spend on one) and I also need a front bushing kit.

I have an idea, but I would like to know how you guys would spend the money in my situation. Any advice, comment will be appreciated. Thanx!

3-bar, chip, exhaust, alky or propane injection, rebuild tranny, bushings, rear sway bar, koni adjustable shocks, extra set of wheels and some auto cross tires......put the rest in the bank, for when it blows up....

I wouldn't...I'd spend it on mine.


Turbo/dp/exhaust

tranny rebuild...do it yourself, or look to spend $2500 or better(stall convertor)

Well, frankly I don't know. I do need(or will be needing soon) a tranny rebuild, but I don't know how much I should spend. I have searched for info on how much $$$ would take to build a good tranny, but in some places I see like $1,500 and others tell me like $3000 doing it myself.

As for the PTE, I already have an external and I'll have to see if I have enough money left after the rebuild (since I would be doing the chip and some other minor modifications before changing turbos) and selling the TIAL. Or see if I can get a 20G with 14cm2 housing for a decent price or rebuild my stock turbo to 20G specs.

It all depends on how much money is left after the rebuild :-?
