Good timing. I got our room Friday. There were only two rooms available at the time so I jumped on it.

there are still rooms left everyone. In fact i just bought a 2nd room and cancelled my 1st this morning to save a coupla $'s. So there is at LEAST 1 vacant room at this moment.

They said that the SyTy reserved rooms were sold out, but they still had rooms avaliable for $4 more :roll:

If you prepay over the internet, rooms are only $67.15/night + taxes. So you can actually save money over the $75/night group rate :lol:

well it is cheaper than I could get w/ my government/military ID's. So the $75/rate is pretty good. It wasn't until recently that these cheaper rates showed up.

My wife and I are staying an extra night and driving home Monday (just so we get extra time off :lol: ) and she asked about the "special" rate to see if we could get it for Sunday night too... Turns out there really is no special rate. They charged us $75/night regardless. :tdown:

they are doing a favor by blocking off a huge group of rooms. I'm sure if we prepaid for the entire block of rooms we'd get a big discount.

I am just guessing but I doubt the hotel sells out anyways during THAT weekend.

Has anyone called and said anything about the internet special rate? I'm debating canceling my reservations and booking online. I know it's not much, but it would save ~$25.

Maybe they're charging more for this group because of the "mods" that some people have made to the hotel in the past.

I'm going to do the same thing, although the $25 will probably go towards buying food for the trip :cool:
