how much is this sy worth

i looked at a sy today. roughly 82k. first off: broken pass front cv joint (clunk clunk clunk), hole in interior carpet by the gas pedal, worn seat bolster, faded gauge colors; what was once yellow is pale and red now pink, rock chips all over the truck or some scratches on every panel, cladding cracked in two spots by the tailgate on either side, big scrape in front bumper cover, also cladding severly faded, front tires shot on inside worn to nothing, computer pulls boost to 9-10 lbs at WOT after it hits 15lbs, almost dies when you put it in drive from park, turbo has play and is puking oil into the air intake tube, bed has no evidence of ever having a tonnaue (?) cover, was told it was originally not sold with a bed cover, owner said had the tranny tuned down so it wouldnt shift as hard....uhm.....a plus is its a syclone with less than 100k...asking $10900. told me he would take $10 out. I told him probably call me in a few weeks. I was thinking compared to other trucks here its worth a MAX of $9000....and thats pushing it. A good deal would be $7500 - $8500.....what do you guys think?

I agree, I wouldn't go over $7500-$8000 TOPS , personally. This truck is gonna be a real money pit and headache and even then, its still not gonna look like new unless you repaint the whole thing. By the time you go through the cladding, engine, drivetrain (tranny), and repaint the body you'll have some serious $ spent near what you paid for it. Come to think of it, $6500-$7500 is more like it.

i feel the same way, i want it and id have to pay to get it. I will just wait. If I was that guy I would keep it instead of selling it for that. I bet he will get some sucker to buy it for 10k. He is advertising it as in excellent condition, and he used to tow with it.

go to autotrader.com next go to gmc and then syclone or typhoon i found my typhoon at a dealer for 21,000 i waited 1 month and got the ass down to 13,000 out the door 57000 miles teal/w gray cladding all stock just look around it is hard to sell a truck like ours for 10000 to 20000 dollars alot of people dont know what they are.

It is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. It would probably be a good truck for someone who wanted to build up a monster truck for the track or maybe somebody who wanted a daily driver Sy and didn't mind putting some time in to fix it or someone who wanted to customixe int/ext of a Sy.

It would be the wrong truck for someone who wanted a mint Sy unless the price was cheap enough. I doubt it will sell for as little $6500 though...some people just want a syclone to drive.

yep that was the one. Personally I didn't like the condition it was in. It has chips everywhere. Sounds like a car that needs complete overhaul
