no telling. there have been failures under high stress, some under regular driving conditions. if your concerned, best to invest into a gilbert shaft now or at least a propshaft loop to protect yourself and your truck if the stocker does let go.

it seems nowadays you see more stock shafts being broke due to everyone pushing the boundries and going faster with better modifications.

Where do i get the gilbert shaft? i like the loop idea too.

I believe there are a few vendors on here that carry the gilbert. also, if you do a search on phil chivers, he has made the propshaft / driveshaft loops for as long as i can remember for our trucks. top quality work.

I would get a loop or stronger propshaft, the stock one often takes out other parts when it goes.

I blew three (one was custom built) with in a two months time.. first one blew during a 6 psi launch against my friends z06, second one blew while doing 55mph of normal driving and no racing on that one, Third blew during data logging with a 5 psi launch so I don't have much faith in stock propshafts at all and went with the gilbert shaft.. no problems yet and so far no one's ever broken one to date I believe
