You are so correct on blowing the center diff. In my big 16g 300+hp DSM I first broke a rear axel which also blew the center dif. Upgraded the rear to a 4 bolt and then proceded to break a front axle, and another center diff... That sucked...

I also listened for a stutter box and could not hear one. I enjoyed my stutter box and NLTS but maybe that helped me blow all the parts. Talon's are definately fun cars but way too many are junk...

Thats why all of mine were A/T. I figured it out, and the trans out of my first one has at least 175k mi on it, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 awd launches. When I changed the fluid in it the first time it came out straight black it was so burnt.Chunks of bearing were attached to the magnets in the pan. Took trick shift synthetic (know to kill a/t's) and mobile 1 synthetic (also known to cause trans problems). Its still going to this day, behind my friends 2.3 stroker dsm.

That talon has raced in chicago, I know what is what. I wouldnt run the talon myself, why? Because I know when I am in over my head and there is no way I can hang.

Syclone#892: I know the galant you are talking about. It was the fastest one in the country at one point in time years ago. We have raced that car as well. Ask them how that turned out. We did that one in our 3500# fwd car as well

Did you go by the 7.42 video of my 7.11 time slip. 7.11 via your chart shows a 11.08

11.08 - 3sec = 8.08 seconds. If they are really running that low of an 8, I will say they deserve the shit talking and will shake their hand.

didn't get the last run on video, which was the 7.11

I still have another 6 or so psi to go.

My assumption is the AWD is what is really helping them against other cars that do run whatever et they can run. They take the camaro, etc out to a dirty dusty road they know rather well. No 2wd car/truck will hook properly.

Now keep in mind that 1.62 is street tires on low boost. If, and I just did say IF I was to go after them I would probably have stickier tires, and for sure more boost. Hell I have only been down track about 6 times so far with my truck lots of bugs to work out.

But I am not a street racer, just someone who likes to build shit and go fast. Thoughts have crossed my mind of what it would take to shake them up a bit, then other thoughts of heading to jail over it come to mind also.

I ain't skeered. The fast one, white in color is a mid 10's car. The one in the vid is a low 11's player.

These guys are good at getting races on thier turf and to thier advantage. As a "good' street racer has to be or they would be broke.
