i was talking with a friend about the ty and i told him about the problems that i have with my ty he advice me to remove the engine and get a LS1 vette engine i'm confused now

it's hard to find a parts for the truck right here that why he told me that

so that i want ur opinion and advices

what exactly cant you find? I dont know to what extent your build sheet is, but there are quite a few trucks on here that have rebuilds/major problems and find they parts needed. Usually someone somwhere on this board will have a part that you need if its hard to find.

i know that willyson there is many guys on board have what i what the problem is the shipping and the payment i only can use vise for the internet shopping

i don't know is there any problem if i put the vette engine on my ty ??

LS1 part are easy to find here and it has a huge power

The LS1 stuff doesn't bolt in either. The parts are available to convert them, but I think you going to run into the same problems of shipping/payment.

i don't wanna use the LS1 part in my ty engine i found a complete LS1 vette engine in the junkyard with all the nessesory thing just replacing this engine with my ty angine

so i will not have to order any thing (so i will not have any shipping/payment problems)

coz every thing will be available

The motor doesn't just drop in, you need different accessories, custom oil pan, custom motor mounts, etc

Tydriver is doing a LS6 swap, you would want to serach & read his posts.

I think it's totally up to you. :tup: I bought my truck specifically because it was an AWD turbo V6. When the engine goes, it'll get another turbo V6 and another and another. :lol:

But if you're in a place where parts for them are hard to come by, shipping is ridiculously $$$$ and you're looking for reliability, why not put a V8 in it? You can get the same hp/torque with less hassle. :tup:

But again, it's a personal thing. If you want to, go for it, if not, I'm sure there's a way to get parts to you somehow.

I have never fully research a LSx swap, so I am not really qualified to make a suggestion. I am more of purist (ie keep the AWD/V6 Turbo), but sometimes the non traditional mods can make sense depending for some people.

that if i'm gonna change the engine

I personally would do whatever it is to suit your needs, as parts for the engine your looking at would be more common/cheaper. Sticking with the V6/AWD/turbo would keep it rather unique, but I understand where your coming from. Good luck with it and let us know how it goes! :tup:

before i put the LS1 eng i will put my stock eng in a stand first and see if there is any thing that i can do with it to make working good again i will not giving up the stock engine that easy :tup:

also the front axel is missing in my truck the last owner take this ty as a part source for his other sy he was a sy and ty owner and he also canceled the ABS

yesterday i luch it in my n/h and let my brother to take a vedio for it,
every time i drive this truck i just love it more and more,every thing that is dameged in this truck is because of the fu***n last owner , not because of me
