Hot O2 sensor

....I have a Innovate LC-1wideband setup and was wondering if anyone has had a problem with the O2 sensor getting to hot installed in the stock location; and if so, what kind of problems did you experience. I'm having a problem of no signal after about 45 mins to hour. Afterwards if I let the engine cool down for about a half hour, I can datalog again.

Re: Hot O2 sensor

too hot in stock location? How much boost are you running before it dies? They are designed to operate at around 400C so it shouldn't be getting too hot unless you are way lean or something else is wrong.

Maybe a faulty sensor. Can you swap one out from another vehicle?

Have you put the wrong gas in by any chance? They hate lead and silicone.

....yeah! at least that's what I'm thinking. I've been trying to dial in a good tune with my goals being 20# of boost with little to no knock. I've switched out using another O2 sensor I purchased and it pretty much the same thing. I always run 93 octane and this period of in-operation happens daily. Although today I'm going on two hours with it working; but it a pretty cool day today (low 50's).
