hmmmmmm........wtf?!?

ok, i did the zq8 steering box, moog pitman and idler, before i did that i did the solid motor mounts, these are the only thing different from two weeks ago. well i have a new vibration, take it to discount to have them check the balance of my wheels and......the back side of my stock rims are all chewed up along the edge of the rim like it has been rubbing on something..........stock rims, would they rub? everything was tight when i finished up with the steering . it didnt do it before. any ideas??????

don't turn the wheels full lock when turning...they rub....even moreso w/ a zq8 box.

In addition, vibration could be caused by alignment. If you didnt get re-aligned, you should!

I'm not sure what it is called but the long center piece of the steering linkage, the part that runs from wheel to wheel and attaches to the idler and steering link may be reversed. Left to right, right to left. Been there, done that.

I believe it is called the center link.

There are steering stops built into the zq8 box that limit the amount of travel but I thought there were hard stops on the spindles too.

I know with coilovers I had to install a set of adjustable steering stops to keep the rim from rubbing on the lower control arm at full lock.
So my spindle bottoms out on the stop before the zq8 box runs out of travel.
