Need some help.....my truck has over the last few weeks developed a high idle and I'm not sure of the cause. I've searched the forum and tried most of the suggestions but it hasn't cured the problem.
On startup, the idle goes up to around 2500rpm then slowly comes down to around 1100 where it stays. I've replaced the vacuum lines with brand new high quality silicone, checked for vacuum leaks and none are apparent, reset the IAC (even disconnected the plug - breaking two securing tabs in the process...gotta love brittle plastic). It may be my imagination, but I am fairly sure the problem started when I tried to run TurboLink using and ALDL cable I purchased on this forum. The cable would not connect to the laptop but I was wondering if the truck may be in diagnostic mode still....would this even be possible?
Any suggestions are welcome as apart from this issue the truck is great.
