I'm back!
Hi all. I was a former member of the community about 1.5 - 2 years ago. I unfortunately had to sell my 92 Typhoon upon exiting college to get a car I could commute in (From Baltimore to DC). I bought the Typhoon June 15th 2000 with 67K on her. My fastest 1/4 was only 14.1. <--- hope to drastically improve on that one! She now has about 122K.
Luckily the individual who purchased my car was my father. This past week on my Birthday my father called me up and told me that he was giving me the Typhoon back! :rotf: Free and clear. He had originally paid me 8K for it...so the gesture was a GREAT one and I am extremely grateful for it.
Another side note is that I really took for granted the rarity of this great vehicle in my younger age. I didn't like the original Teal color that it was and had a half behind paint job done on it which also resulted in the cladding being broken/mishandled in the process for which I my dad has since replaced after suing the paint shop for the crap they pulled. So the truck is back together and back in my hands...this time for good and I hope to restore it to it's previous grand nature TEAL and all.
I can't remember all the exact names for my upgraded parts but this is what she has thus far (from memory of course). An Ultimate chip, Brian Hartman Tranny upgrade, Baer brakes, 3' exhaust, cold air intake. I'll put exact parts in when I go past my parents house and pick her and the paperwork up.
I'm sure my second homecoming will be a good one here. I remember people were very helpful and fun group to be around.
