Check the ingition module. Also make sure all of your plug boots are snapped onto the plugs. Be careful pulling them off the plugs as its easy for wire to seperate from the terminal inside the boot. If neither of that fixes it, test your fuel pump. More than likely if your tach is fluttering, it will be ignition related though, cap/rotor/ign module/etc

Hi Guys. Replaced ignition module. Certainly improved the knock and retard and eliminated the trouble code. HOWEVER, still loosing power at WOT. At 3,400 RPM it flatlines and even goes backwarks at bit while under load. I have uploaded 2 x files to http://www.mediafire.com/?fy552rtwk605wgx,ooizk0p6c44srwx. While on the file it looks minimal, in the seat of the pants the truck is flat.

Fuel pump?? I have tested the pressure at idle which is 45lbs. Since I don't have a longer hose, I can't check at speed and under load.

Any other suggestions?????

Thanks in advance.

So fuel related? The gas is 91 + some booster (not too much, just trying to get it to 93).

How do I know if it is a boost leak? The Datamaster shows me getting up to 15lbs.

I'm no expert but this was my first thought. You say the tach flutters, is that when it is sputtering. I know you are running a stock truck but your pump could be weak, especially if it is original. Idle pressure means nothing. I had a 3bar with ultimate and 50psi at idle but once I hit14-15 psi, boom flat on it's face. Walboropumps.com has 255 ltr, standard and high pressure for $99. Alittle time comsuming but not that hard to do. If you can get a longer hose for you gauge to test under load try that. Good luck.

I'm thinking fuel pump also. Prob find fuel pressure dropping as injector duty goes up.

I've tried everywhere local: Napa, Autozone, O'Reilly, and Monument. No one carries an adapter or a gauge with a longer hose.

Where are you guys getting the gauges with the long (6' ish) hose?

I made my own out of high pressure fuel hose and some fittings.
