so i had to replace the driver side seal and getting the output shaft out was a huge pita. was prying on it from every angle that i could. finally got it with a piece of wood and deadblow hammer.
the seal was another pita because the only one offered in town was a little rubber piece that just pushed right through the plate with a little amount of force. ordered the correct one so that is taken care of.
now, my problem is since i put everything back together i finally get to drive it after sitting this morning and inspect for leaks and i notice the output shaft has backed out about an inch. i gave it a couple of good wacks prior to bolting everything back. to me it appears that the clip on the output shaft has compressed too much from me (no doubt) prying on the shaft to get it out. the clip is about flush with the splines on the shaft. the girth of the shaft to be more precise but i'm no expert and i'm just eyeballing it.
is it possible for me to spread it out some or do i have to take it to get replaced or something?
was going to try to make the meet tonight but don't think that's possible now.
