Help please

Got Boost?
i just tried to start the ty and it wouldn't start. the lights on the dash tell me to check gauges and my boost gauge is pedded at max. does anybody know the problem? if you could help i would really apreciate it

How about a little more info? Does it crank?

So let's assume it cranks, but won't start...three things it could be. 1. Compression. Let's assume it has run in the recent past, and it has compression. 2. Fuel. What's the fuel pressure? 3. Spark. Is it getting spark?

Also, it could be 4. Timing. But thats only if its cranking. He said his dash was screwy, I would go with the bad ECM too. My TY was dying at random times, it would crank and crank and not start. Let it sit 5, 10,15, 45 minutes (it was always different), and it would start right up. One time it did it, I hit the ECM and it started. Turned out to be a crack or probably a cold solder joint.

Wow, what's with the spelling from the n00bs? :lol:

As stated before: more info needed. Does it just "click" when you turn the key? If so, check the purple wire. Does it try to crank? Does it actually crank? Does it try to run, but only sputters?

Must have got it running.

As an FYI - it is impossible to have any boost without the truck running :)

ya it cranks over but didn't start i let it sit for about an hour and it started right up.
