Hello From SoCal

How's everyone doing today. Figured I'd introduce myself to the forum since I just picked up a Typhoon over the weekend and got it registered today. The name is Gabe from Anaheim, CA...
Got into the turbo craze when I picked up my '87 Grand National. Figured I'd be different from all the Camaro and Mustang guys out here, let alone the imports.
Now I've added a '92 Typhoon to the lot. Hope to learn a lot while I spend some time on the site. Any advice on making my ride that much better is more than welcomed. Hope to hear from all you guys and gals on here...

Welcome to our nightmare   Got pics? Truck number?

It's all been covered here on what to do to make it better. It really only depends on you and how much you want to spend.

Thanks for the welcome guys...
TY #1689...Last four digits of the VIN, correct?
No pics just need. Need to dust off the ol' digital...
115,000 mi. Well taken care of though. Have all documentation for engine/tranny rebuild/service. Interior is pretty much clean, except for a few things here and there. It can be expected of a 15yr old ride. It appears to be in stock form. Ran fine the 90 miles home...
White/Gray...
I've heard all the horror stories regarding reliability and how they can become money pits. All good things come with a price I guess. Hopefully with a little TLC, this bad boy can keep running strong and surprise a few people along the way.

Along with all those horror stories there have been even more success stories. These are great trucks and reliability aspect of them all depends on the type of mods you do to them. Much luck.

That was pretty funny. Bob's was a frickin zoo when you came though. All I know is I need to hurry up and finish my truck. I miss driving it.

I'll make sure to be on the look-out for that. Would be nice to see what other people have done. One thing is for sure, you don't see many of these rides out here...

Re: Hello From SoCal

Welcome  Was that the one for sale in San Jose? Also, do I see a 66 c-10 in the background of one of those pics?

Re: Hello From SoCal

Thanks guys...
Nah, I went to pick it up in Ventura. The seller said he had too many toys, so he had to part with it. So far its doing fine (knock on wood)...
The blue chevy is a '64 C-10 longbed w/ a 350. The inline six was dead when my dad got it, so he yanked it out and replaced it with an 8 cyl. He's kind of neglected it though, since he's getting up there in age and he can't dedicate time to it...

My dads been wanting to buy one for the longest time now. That's his favorite body style for the c-10's. He has a pretty badass 1987 silverado that he's going to sell in order to buy a 66 or that style truck. Any pics of that truck?
