Hello everyone,

I am the proud new owner of Sy #005. Bought it here in LA locally from a guy who didnt own it very long.

Just got it in my garage last night but it looks mostly untouched.
41K miles.
Original bed cover (in fair shape).
After market gauge pod with boost and oil temp gauges.
Heater hose mod.
Adj. fuel pressure regulator
Hard Turbo Inlet pipe with BOV
Viper Alarm

Gonna try and bring it back to 100% original. Looking for any and all info you all may have on this truck. The guy that sold it to me said it was a prototype at PAS but had no documentation to back it up. Carfax said this truck has been in CA, ID, and CO. Miles seem accurate.

So if anyone has come across this truck out in the world any info would be appreicated!

Thanks,

Paul

KGBPilot125 owned this truck and I believe lived in both CO and ID.

Should be able to find a fair amount of info posted about it here with some good search words.

Only thing I remember was when the window shop that was replacing his windshield cut part of the vin tag and he was trying to find a replacement for it.

Yeah. the vin tag is broken off on the upper half. Still can make out most of the numbers but the top of the 5 is gone. thankfully the door stickers are still in great shape and verify the Vin.

dont know what kind of dumb a$$ glass installer snapped off the vin plate.

Congrats on the truck, this means the guy that you bought it from will stop emailing me. I see in another thread you are looking for the orginal stuff, if youa re going to put it back to all stock you are going to need some mirrors also. You should be able to sell the exhaust thats on the truck on here for at leat 150 bucks.(3inch mandrel side exit)

That truck ran prett well could never get it to run as well as 2234 but I think it had L35 heads. As far as history on it I bought it from the orginal owner in San Diego. It sat in the Sherline Mills warehouse for around 8 years if I remember right next to his GN. I drove it a little bit maybe 14k miles and it ended up in with the guy you bought it from. If I remeber right we put the AFPR on because the stock one was failing. Also the ABS unit was brand new when I bought it same with the steering wheel. You should have the original window stick and purchase papers with the truck hang on to those they make the truck a little more valuable IMO. Enough rambling for now need food(just drove 6 hours and 11 minutes straight with out stopping in a hybrid)
