headlight problems

when i first turn the ty on and then the headlights, the both come on but dim after i start driving one goes out and the other gets brighter. any ideas? i had the new lights from ebay, that you only replace the bulb. like 75-90bucks i think. they were fine for about 6months. just noticed it the other day.

I agree, it could be a bad ground, but its weird that it does that flip-flop of power deal.

how many Watts are the bulbs?

check the plug that goes to the back of the headlight. commona problem running diffrent lights in the front = melted headlight plug. :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

been there done that, now i switched over to brighter headlights, new wires, and never had a problem.

Liar.................I remember a certain Syclone that could only turn one light on at a time.

thanks guys if it is not fixed by then i will let everyone look. if it is the plug, would anyone have the part #, or a place i can get it? does it just plug in or is there splicing?

what Wattage are the new bulbs??

i found my plugs at the local parts store. if you go to the dealer they should know off hand what part number it is. just about every car and truck has the same plug untill the changed over from the sealed beam headlight set up.the ones im running in my truck are 55 watt low 65 high. which is what a sealed beam is. i just think because of the h4 (9003) just runs a little hotter. i wont go with a higher watt bulb .for the fact you will probally have to rewire the whole headlight harness. :drinking: :drinking: :drinking:

i should have them by this weekend coming up and if i dont get a chance will will play with them on the 15th.
