well,my kenne bell headers came out in pieces
i had them welded 5-6 times but now they finished their job.
i am sure that the thermo-tec is responsible for this but i loved the lower temp in the engine comp.
will the atr headers be better ????? last longer ?????
now i am buck on the stock exhaust manifolds
and i noticed a small power loss

get the ATR's and send them to jet-hot..have them coated with their 2000 deg black oxide...really nice stuff

I saw a set of turbo tech headers on a 94 Mustang last night. He had them coated with JetHot 2000 over 3 years ago, and they are just starting to rust on the flanges and primaries.

The ATR's are stainless and should not have this problem. The problem most stainless has is not enough "stick" for the coating to adhere well. Maybe JetHot and others have a different prep for stainless v. mild steel?

I was under the impression that header wrap would only cause the headers to separate at the weld points....you make it sound like they cracked...

Can you post pics of the aftermath?

They sure did !!!!!!!!!
the last time ,that i decided to change them with the stock ones, i was WOT with 20 psi and suddenly the left header opened and a small piece of metall was missing.i installed a metall clamp till i get home.

i run a mitsu-garrett with 14cm housing and 58mm comp induser.exhaust back pressure is not that high to help this happen. no cat. free muffler.

the tubes were burned like the old rusted boats looks.
if you want photos i can take some
