Have a question about a friends truck, please help

My friend recently bought a syclone and I took it for a drive tonight to check things out. Well, the truck has a 20G Turbo, Dynotech chip, and SX Fuel Pump (also 36 lb injectors). I built 15 PSI on the line and then launched, well the boost dropped off in second and only built to 5PSI and then once I hit third it hit 15, then we felt a bog down and the needle jumped to 20 (but it didn't feel any faster then 15).

I don't know anything about that fuel pump or chip, do you guys have any info. I know we need to get a datamaster to really look inot things, but does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

Get rid of chip... go back to stock .... check out condition of fuel pump..

not sure about actually reliability/performance of the lucas 36lb injectors.. need to talk to someone like green or dig about them...

also needs a fresh ignition...

check vacuum lines..
check IC operation..

then run datamaster...

15 PSI launches, u might want to look into a new propshaft soon too.

it is the only time he did a 15 PSI launch, we were just seeing what we could build it up too, He had a boost leak earlier and couldn't even build anything, so we fixed that and were just testing. I refrase the earlier statement, we just built boost at the line, we didn't actually "launch" it.

We will go back to stock and try it then.

also, he just bought his truck and it was modded, so who know what has all been done on it, I am trying to convince him to get a datamaster. His truck is a later year sy than mine( I think 1,191 or something like that). It is a nice truck, I will get him to register on the site.

I am sure you did, I bought the truck from a guy in Boston and had it shipped to Dallas. It wasn't Long Island though...

Of course I'll prolly just do the silver ZRs as they are second coolest IMO(least for my mere mortal/non existant wheel budget).

Damn, I can't hold my Sy to more then 7-8psi of boost, then the brakes let go I know about reving in N to build more vacuum in brake booster, but it's no difference.

I was having that problem on my truck, but thankfully, once I found out about the neutal thing it worked.
