H4 headlight update...caution!

I finally got my headlights in the mail today. Tried to put them on asap (about 4 hours after I got them) and come to find out, you have to cut the back of your headlight pocket out for it to fit right. The back of your factory sealed beams are round, with the 3 prongs being the only things sticking out. Well my new updated headlight casings have a circular area sticking out about an inch. That cylindrical area wont alow it to fit in the headlight pocket without you cutting a hole big enough where it can fit...
If anyone is confused ill take a picture of my factory sealed beams and a picture of my new upgrades...

Just making sure you knew that some use of a jigsaw is required in order to install them. I plugged them up and they do look betetr, so I think im going to go ahead and cut out the piece tomorrow morning.

the new eurolights housings (diamond cut back, round bulb cover) requires cutting the headlight bucking to fit.

However, they do throw out a better pattern then the older style (diamond cut back, angled bulb cover) which dont require cutting.

Please do post pictures. I just ordered the same ones and would like to know exactly how and what to cut before I install. You say they are worth it?

My question is does anyone have the NEW Adjure diamondbacks w/out the built in city light.. This is what I was trying to order from Andrew before he ending up closing shop.. If so any pics??? thanks..

I do have pics of a modified headlight bucket, but have to find my camera cable. as soon as i do ill get the pic up. its just making the hole in the center bigger.

I would suggest if anyone was trying to buy a set of these lights, buy the newer domed center, the light pattern is much better then the adjure's.

Ironic enough that I'm asking this after the lights I sent you broke in the mail.. Did you keep the Adjures or get the crystal eyes?
Reason I'm asking is because I've wanted a set for the past 3 years w/out the built in city light.. Also is the circular/domed cover supported by the housing or is it an attachment that you place on the bulb itself?

I had to do same thing... I got the diamond back headlights from Autosyndicate (when they were still open). He didnt send the correct ones (not the ones I paid for and ordered, the cheaper ones).. Anyhow I had to do the same thing... FWIW a pair of Tin Snips work fine also... HTH

get this st8, they are all AJURES, they are all crystal eyes, they are all diamond backs. they are all from inPRo car wear.

i've posted pics on both of these many times. its weird how they came that they fit on s-10s, but the VP of the place has one, and they fit on his blazer fine.

Well as long as we are GETTING THIS STRAIGHT mine DID NOT fit... Not even a moron could fuck that up.. Gee smaller hole in headlamp bucket than what is required by back of replacement H4 bulb.

I guess I dont know what I'm talking about when I said they DIDNT FIT... Being an aircraft mechanic by trade I guess I have no mechanical skills at all.

Perhaps if they had sent the CORRECT ones that I paid more for they WOULD have fit correctly without having to hack up my buckets. Plain and simple...... NO FIT

And in no way was I ever gonna send them back to have BOZO THE HAIR CLOWN boy f*ck the order up even more.. Hell it took me like 6weeks to receive them in the 1st place.

adjure is in pro car wear.

i'm not saying they dont fit. they didnt fit on mine i had to hack mine housing, but when i talked to the VP at pro wear and let him know, he said he has an s-10 blazer and his fit fine....

bozo the clown boy didnt take your order, nor does even work there. he should have, maybe he wouldnt be in the troubles he is in now. but he still works a fulltime job.

i have a set of adjures here, circle ball. i have another set of adjures here, old diamond back. all it matters on is when it was made.

also the ones with the city light from inpro are hard to get, as in pro doesnt want to make them anymore they arent D.O.T. approved, its the city light that doesnt let it happen. if you really want the city light ones, you can trade with me. i have a set here

here are the old ones. notice it says Adjure.

DSCF0043.JPG

notice this one also says adjure.

you also have to remember, they dont sell these lights for the s-10. they are sold as the 6x8 or whatever it is, for the wide range of cars... but its stupid, because s-10s use them the most...... go figure.
