Ground Wire Location - Indiglo Dash Install

Installing my Indiglo Gauges (e-bay type) per Ian's Instructions http://www.sytyarchives.com/howto/viewarticle.php?article_name=indiglo_install.php&dir=interior, and trying to ground them. I don't have an allen wrench large enough to loosen the four large steering column bolts, so is there an alternate ground location in the dash?

Any spot you can find that looks like a significant piece of metal will work fine.

I use the bracket to the left of the hood latch
it is a decent ground and I haven't had any problems there yet.

What I need is an Accessory fuse panel I can put hot and hot with Ignition wires into without having a huge WAD under there.

i got my power and ground right off the switch for the headlights. workd fine never had a problem with it.

Thanks Guys, especially you Ian (I wouldn't have gotten this far without your how-to)! Ideally, I would like to splice into the ground coming out of the switch for the headlights. Hey Roberto, which wire is it???

i installed my indiglo gauges a couple of days ago and I love them. i must give a big :fist: to the hvac panel. Getting that panel out took longer than the rest of the install. and i think i screwed mine up also. anyone got a spare one laying around? big thanks to Ian for the how to page. i doubt i would have been able to install them without it.
