Got this free from www.GotHIDXenon.com , it sells for under $100.

To make the bulb fit inthe stock housing:
1. I cut the thin metal deflector in the housing.
2. Cut a bigger hole in the back of the housing. I silicone it up to seal it.

Didn't cut the stock harness, attached it to where the sock bulb attack, just incase I want to go back to stock.

I didn't mount the balast as yet, the pic of the licgh in place with the balast on the floor.

Re: HIDs

That looks good. I'd be lucky enough to get pulled over first time I turned them on.

Re: HIDs

nice, pretty decent deals on there h4's would work on headlights?

He said there is a retro fit case (6x9) that should fit on the ty and uses h4 , its about $50-$60 for the case. Also something about also a projector lense thats more expensive.
He dosen't have any of these, will have to get them from somewhere.

I am not into lights, I had this kit for over 6 months now, just tried it on today.

edit: he siad the retro fit case are on ebay, if you want to look.

Re: GotHIDXenon

do you guys have 3000K or "golden yellow" HID bulbs... also, wouldnt it have just beeen easier to get h3C sized HID bulbs? those would be a drop in replacement with no modifications necessary to the housing. I think if your brother carried h3C sized bulbs, there would be a hell of a lot of people that would buy them (including me)

Re: GotHIDXenon

we have to run H4's over here all my syty's have these in it. i think they are from bosch?

Re: GotHIDXenon

H4 = Headlight size (after you use one of the sealed beam conversion kits)
H3C = Correct Size for Foglight Replacement
H3 = What people mod and shove into the foglights since H3C HID bulbs are hard to come by

If you guys sell H3C's in golden yellow I'll buy a set RIGHT NOW

however, In reality im prolly gunna have to get h3's and cut up a set of Blazer foglights, rather than ruin my stockers..

Just a note- I had 3000k HID's [made by "SP"...look them up on ebay. AWESOME HID's] in the foglights on my GP GTX and due to the longer length of the HID bulbs, they were very close to the plastics lens...and it was starting to get burned.

You can buy sealed beam-looking (H4?) bulbs with HID kits already in them... plug & play.

3000k is an awesome choice for foglights also. (the bulb actually comes tinted slightly yellow on the 3000k HID kits, b/c 3000k is not as "stable" of a color temp as the normal (4100k+) HID's... They're like GREENISH-PURPLE when you first turn them on, then they slowly transform from a purple/white color to YELLOW. I loved em.

(I had 6000k Bi-Xenon bulbs for my headlights)

Re: GotHIDXenon

The h3c bulb is the correct replacement for our fog. Its pretty much plug and play.

This is the h3c , stock and the other one I had used.

This is the 2 different bulb, the correct bulb don't blind you because the sheild in the lense is still there.
