Got walked away from actually.. Driving around doing some part throttle trans tuning and ended up being paced by a VERY loud C5. He nailed it a few times (SWEET sounding) and would drop back beside me. Im slowing down to try to get him to go from a slow of a roll as I can but he wont have any of it (dammit). I give up and figured I might as well get the slaughtering over with so I nail it when he drops back beside me. He musta been expecting it since he hit it at the same time I did. All I saw were tail lights getting smaller and smaller so I figured Id quit wasting gas and gave up...I prolly never went much over 100mph and we all know how much of a chance I had at running him down.

Sigh......

Oh well...maybe next time we get to play I wont be running 15lbs/93 octane or at least maybe I can catch him at a light to make it worth his while ;) .

ahh he knew what you had and was scared of getting beaten so he goated you into racing his race.. well not goated because you didn't have a choice.. either way you got to see a sweet vette run hard for once.. around here all the vettes are driven by guys barley able to complete the full shift pattern do to there age :(

Couldnt tell how old the driver was from behind but the car was SWEEET sounding while it was kicking my ass. There arent too many ppl around here with new vettes that will flog them either. Most ppl are into lifting 4wd trucks but every now and then you run across a sweet car that gets hammered on by the owner.

Oh well...the trucks going back up on jack stands where it belongs anyways.

Vettes can be a tough one. I think my vette will beat my typhoon now :( Dad says it is time for me to step it up a few notches on the typhoon.

We have a bunch of vettes up here by us. I won't bother trying with the typhoon. Two of them are twin turbo converions. One of them has $110,000 lingenfelter package of some sort and the the other is twin turbo that makes 1300rwhp at 20psi. When we play games with these guys the supra comes out. One guy has a c6 zo6 we ran the other night on the hwy. Plate said "uwiloose". This particular guy should be embarrased because the car wasn't fast at all and he tried several times. They are nice but personally i am not into them. Too many people have them. Get'em from a dig next time

They vary. We have one extreme one wich has over 1200rwhp on an auto that rides with us sometimes and the rest vary from stock to a little over 900 currently. My friend should be up and running by next weekend with a new setup that should reel numbers in close to 1050rwhp....we'll see.

Had a similar hwy. experience recently, only w/ a new LS2 GTO (M6). Sy got yoinked from a 50-55MPH roll. Sure I knew better, but it was a buddy of mine coming back from a car show & no way was he gonna let me off the hook. He did get a slight jump, & by the time the lame-@ss 4L60 kicked down from OD, he was walking away. Like Myclone said, I knew at that point what my chances were of reeling him in. :-/

Those LSx cars, esp. the 6 spds. (M6), are no joke on the hwy. My buddy's LS2 is stock except for an X-pipe exhaust & "driver" mod. He knows he owes me a run from a dig now where I hopefully redeem myself. And I won't be at 15lbs. again for that run, cause like I said, this guy can drive his car!

What does your Supra put down? What mods do you have? We have some crazy fast Supras around AZ. Woon is one of them. we have two Supras in the club I'm in, 1 at 380rwhp (still stock twins with only intake/exhaust and boost controller), and the big fella with 1200rwhp on C16 with his single T88 and fully built motor.

WOON the locals cringe when they hear that name. That is one guy who needs to step down from the high horse and come back down to reality. His business tactics are shady and he one awefully arogant person to deal with. Multiple members have been screwed over funding his supra project. He is one person who has DEFINTLY lost an amazing amount of business due to the type of person he is. I truly hope that one day his doors will close and people will wake up to see who he really is. As far as what i am putting down i couldn't tell you as it's not been on the dyno yet. The motor is fully built with je's, ported/polished head, hks cams, 4" hks exhaust/dp/mp, hks manifold, Innovative dbb 80mm, g-force, map ecu, bl tans, pi stall, veilside intake, 3 row, methanol and a few other goodies. If i had to guess on 20psi i am making around 650-700. I ran a 6 speed the other day that was making 787 on race gas and higher boost and pulled on him by two cars on top. He was on 100 and 19psi so it was just a rough idea on hp at the time. It should be on the dyno soon. We are waiting for the GT-47 to be installed on my other friends car before we all go.

Thats damn impressive. The guy with the 1200rwhp Surpa just blew his motor the other day. He just got it back a few weeks ago too so he's really pissed and doesn't know what the hell happened yet. He was only running 17lbs and not the 42 lbs he runs on the C16. I've met Woon a couple times and he's extremely cocky. I was at the track when his car exploded and he tried to claim insurance on it by telling them it happened on the street. That didn't work out so well when the insurance company got ahold of the video we had. A lot of the local guys have called him out to race and he always backs down. He won't race anyone, street or track.
