so iam getting rid of my cat am i going to get crazy boost spikes or will i be o.k?Its all stock except for borla catback.
If not will a larger fuel pump and fpr help supply enough fuel to be safe.
Or another thought should i just wait till i get the ultimate w/3bar.

This truck seems to be alot scarier to modify then my last turbo car, so iam paranoid about things i wouldnt of thought twice about on the WRX.

Do a search and you will find that YES you are going to get some crazy boost spikeage.

You will need to upgrade your wastegate to get stable boost control.

I am also moving this to the engine tech forum where it belongs.

Hope you do some serious research before you remove that cat.

Well I find the search function on this forum a pita.I searched catless didnt get all the info i wanted so i posted my questions.
Thank you for moving it to the correct forum.

So i cant even do a free flow exhaust with out upgrading my wastegate.
I ve gotta have more options than that.

The cat is going i have no need for it.

You can just bypass the stock boost solenoid and control boost with a boostvalve. Check my site out for the boostvalve, as I've got plenty in stock.

You will just set boost for 15psi if you have a stock chip or whatever you want to set it to if you have a 3 bar chip.

Get datamaster and watch for knock and any overboost. I've never had a cat on my typhoon and have had no problems with just using a boostvalve.

the wg is the problem not the selenoid. You will get boost spikes with a straight pipe or cutout if you dont upgrade the wastegate. Doesnt matter what boost controller you put on it.

I never had a cat on my typhoon and had good boost control using an ultimate chip and stock turbo. I wouldn't use a gutted cat and stock chip, that would be a disaster.

Its not hard to overboost a stock turbo though, even with good chip control.

If your going to gut the cat, wait until you get the ultimate chip.

Well looks like i'll be getting a new wastegate.Iam thinking about the tial 40mm.I hear it sounds pretty  which is a plus.Is there one better than the other?I plan on maxing out the stock turbo and then upgrading in a year or two with the ultimate goal of a high 11,very low 12.

best bang for the buck is the ITS minigate. Tials are also nice but cost over $100 more (for the 40mm) then the minigate.

There is also the new turbonetics evolution wastegate.

I've heard some good things about the Tial. I got my Minigate through Mike. I'm going a similar route you are. I'm going to gut my cat until I get my Turbo kit, then I'll redo my entire exhaust system and add a cut-out. I just picked up an Apexi boost controller, and I also have an ultimate chip.
