Re: GM, the Typhoon and How They Support our 2nd Amendment Rightss

south carolina the way i understand it, is anyone who can legally posess a firearm can keep one in their vehicle. as long as its out of drivers reach in something that closes, like the glove box or the trunk. also the gun can have the clip in the gun, but you cant have a round chambered if its an auto pistol. i know ive been stopped with a gun in the glove box that was legal and all the cop said was "why you gotta gun in the glove box?", nothing else was said about it.

how does that xd shoot shuggs? ive been eyballing those for awhile. as far as kel tech goes, i dont care for them ive shot a couple of them. unless theyve changed them, the trigger feels like the trigger on a cap gun. im a bad enough shot with a pistol without having to pull the trigger that hard. :D

hopefully im going to start getting some rifles before long. i went a couple of weeks ago and shot with my friend. him and his dad and a couple of other friends go every sunday and shoot. their friend bought some land and made a 200 yard shooting range out of it and they make use of every yard of it. i know youre gonna think im bullshittin, but when i went we were shooting bowling pins at the full 200 yards with .22 rifles. these were target rifles, but 200 yards is a lot for a .22. my friend also has a .17 hmr, it was the first time i had ever shot one, and i fell in love, gotta get one. i was hitting soda cans at 200 yards with the .17 and a couple of .223s they had out that day. my friends dad and the guy that owns the range shoot quarters and dimes 200 with their .223s. thats one i didnt attempt. all and all was impressed and had a blast, and im not too far away from moving back down where he lives so i will probably make a hobby out of it also.

No holster law. You can carry in your pants without one. Thats how most guys I know do. Actually i dont know anyone that uses a holster now that I think about it.

I used to carry a PT111 Taurus Millenium Pro 9mm than sold it and bought a Springfield XD 9mm and love it. But the XD is just too big for me to conceal properly so i got the kelTec and its awesome. i forget its even there!

Im gonna pick up the belt clip for mine but the local gun shops have been out of them since I bought it a couple weeks ago.

Got a two tone (chrome slide and tan frame) S&W Sigma 9mm 71+1 and a Glock 20C 10mm 14+1 compensation ports aka Hand Cannon. Next toy on the list is a Springfield XD .45 or Glock sub-compact .357 sig. I think the sub compact, I allready have full size and compact, need one for the pocket. Texas is awsome. Just need to get my CCW, i've only been 21 for 9 months and I been over seas afg/iraq. Just need a 93 ty so I can be cool and put it in the pocket. Guns don't kill people, I............

Dead thread, but I just bought my first handgun (Taurus Millenium Pro .45), and the first pic I took was this:

Doesn't quite fit in there very well, so I won't be storing it there.

Actually from my understanding is that many LEOs these as backup weapons.

I use the Keltec .380 as an off duty "summer gun" its so light, I can wear it with shorts on and not even know its there. When I don't have my Keltec I got my Glock 19. And its pretty nice being able to carry in the red states, IMO if you have no record and have a ccw permit you should be able to carry anywhere( the feds need to change this).

AMEN,Brother! sign me up!

back in '89 when i started as p.i.,i had to jump thu sooo many hoops to obtain my LTC. not an easy task in MA. after i aquired it,i found no other states in the northeast would honor it,and i was all over New England, soo i had to buy non-resident permits for RI,NH,VT,CT,NY,ME..
20 buck for one,60 for the other,40 for that one...what a crook. MA alone was 120! for what i went thru to get it,i should be able to carry on the MOON if i want!

nowadays,im current in 3 states. waiting/hoping for LTC to go federal...
up for renewal next year in a new town. that oughta be fun.

i go back and forth from a Colt pocketlite .380 to a Glock 27
the Colt fits perfect in the overhead garage door opener comp..pretty slick.

We just got CCW here in MO this year.
But look all around us.
Every state bordering MO except Ark does not honor CCWs.
I carry in KS once every year anyways. lol

I am ordering a Glock 23C (.40 compact/compensated) for my carry gun. possibly the Kel-tec 380 or 9 mm for a light duty.

You sure you want a compensated gun for CCW? I got to shoot a compensated 1911 at night once, and when that muzzle blast goes straight up in front of your eyes it kills your sight (similar to looking into the sun). They're a whole heck of alot louder too. On alot of guns it will dirty up the sights after just a few rounds, but I believe Glock angled theirs so that this wasn't an issue.

Good choice on the Glock though. I hate the fullsizes and minis due to the abnormal grip angles, but the midsized ones feel and point great for me. I just wish they made a 19/23 sized 45ACP though.
