any chance that can be in the afternoon rather than 10am?

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

The Center's normal hours are from 8-5, M-F. They have a 3-5pm tour already scheduled for that same Friday. Anything outside of their normal hours/Saturday doubles the price per person and triples on Sundays. Friday evening was also left open due to people going to Milan like they have in years past. Another reason for an earlier in the day tour is for traffic.

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

Where the Heritage center is vs the hotel, it is better to do it in the morning/early afternoon because of the traffic. It gets very congested around that area around 2PM and stays that way till about 7PM especially on Fridays.

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

Is this included in the registration or do we pay when we get there? Also, will there be any SyTy's on display? I think there is still a Syclone Challenge truck around and maybe a White on Grey 93 Typhoon that GM still owns?

Debating on whether to take the day off work. :)

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

As is sits now, the entrance fee will be additional to regular registration. Any Syclones or Typhoons still in the GM collection will be on display.

Great pic! I wonder how much money is in that pic?
"Just"? Even the transporter in this pic, if it still exists, is worth more to the right collector today than almost any other "regular" 69 Camaro... Enjoy.

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

Definitely a Nova (or Chevy II. What were they called in 69?), I didn't notice the post until you pointed it out.

The "II" designation was oficially dropped in 1969.
The 68's were considered Chevy II Nova. 68 Nova was also the first two door with a post Super Sport. 5,571 Nova SS cars in 68, of which only 667 were L78. Quite the rare car.

Yenko vs COPO. I'd take the COPO. A Central Office Production Order car, built by GM is more desireable and brings bigger $$ than a 396 car stuffed with a 427 by Yenko. Yenko may have the name and the decals, but COPO has the prestige and the $$.

Re: GM Heritage Center Tour....

I would like to see the EV1, dont know if that is really possible but is something i have always wanted to see

Talked with my contact at the Heritage Center toady and she said the EV1 is on long term loan to a museum out west, so it will not be available to be on display. I tried...:D
