Getting Cladding Shiny?

On my 103K mile Sy the right front wheel weld cladding is only a couple of years old, so it's a lot shinyer than the rest of my cladding

How can i get the rest of my cladding back to factory lyster? I have tried Turtle Black Chrome, did nothing on my cladding? Do i have to clean it with something special cleaner first?
Please tell me all your secrets on how to clean and keep it our cladding at factory lyster 8)

you either want turtle wax black chrome... if you can find it... its a plastic lotion, brings the cladding to a nice finish....only drawback is when it rans, it runs and slowly fades off.... gotta re-apply

for a more permanent gloss finish... take a rubbing compound... like what you would use after wet sanding to bring up the finish... get a variable speed buffer and have at it on a low speed. it will bring a very nice luster to the surface and will last for quite awhile with proper maintenance until it oxidizes over again after a long time....

be careful not to burn the cladding if you go the buffer route...

use Meguires gold glass Trim detailer restores color and richness to faded and discolored plastic and protects the surface.. it removes contaminants and wax residue . It can be buffed by hand to be shiny/glossy.. I swear by this stuff .. i always buy 2 or 3 at a time because i usually end up selling or giving one away.. my ty is bl blk.. and after i use this product it looks like my cladding is painted and thsi stuf last long too.. forget that black chrome crap

Yup. I saw Melissa's Ty at Al's last May, and started using TD then. From the pics I've seen, it looks about the same as Black Chrome when it's done...

i used the black chrome and it did nothing for my claddings that trim detailer works the best from what i saw. i heard you can also use black shoe polish i haveny got arpund to try that yet. if anybody has used the shoe polish let me know how it works. just dont use the trim detailer on the bed cover because when it rain the stuff goes all over the paint on the truck
