well, i hit the point of pure frustration and hatred of my truck. i want out. the truck ISN"T running. i want to see what i can get out of it right now, and move on. working on cars for a living and working on my truck are like 2 full time jobs and both are very stressful. what do you think i can get:

-truck is not running
-exhaust/intercooler/cooling system need to be installed
-see my build sheet for complete details on the truck
-i have everything that is on the build sheet
-over 10K invested in the engine/turbo/exhaust/intercooler
-truck has no rust
-been a CA vehicle its entire life
-bought it with 9,8xxmiles
-only driven for 1month under my ownership
-has 10,984miles
-had one rebuild engine from previous owner
-this engine is a complete build due to my mistake/decision
-put a 4L80e in it and its a solid low 11sec truck
-ran a 12.6 on previous build
-have 2 books of receipts from original owner

at this point i know i'm buried in it. paying off my loan, with enough money to pay my parents off, would be the best bet for me. i really just need to cut my losses. thanks for listening/reading.

I would say you need to find the right person from this board because of the fact its modded and not running people would tend not to pay much but I would try to hold out on the whole deal total and just let it sit if you have the room.
If you must let it go I think you should still get top dollar since it is a low milage no rust truck. Start in the 18-20k and stay firm for as long as possible

Your truck sound like my Corvette. Tons of money spent to see it sit in a garage and waste tons of my free time and money while I didn't enjoy it. Even after fixing it, I hated it because of those years.

i just want out, and getting 20K would be perfect and i could walk away and just pay the rest of my credit card bills off. and get into a vehicle with a warranty, good gas mileage and not so fast, as i don't want to get any speeding tickets, i'm younger but because of my job i want to stay as wise as i possibly can and this truck definately isn't wise to keep around. maybe later in life when i'm more setup finacially but right now it isn't feesable.

I wouldn't let it go unless you could get top dollar. Definitely a pristine truck if anyone has a question about that.

I guess that means I dont get a ride in it. I know Jonathon would love to get his hand on that TY. Just what he is looking for but a few years to soon to sell. I would say no less then 18-20K. You spent 10k on parts and 10k in labor easy. If I can go back in time I would buy that and save me the trouble on my truck. Sad to see you sell after all the hard work and time you put into it. I hope everything works out for you. It was bad for me there too but I was able to work it out with your help Branden. If you need any help from me LMK. I owe you still. Thanks and good luck. Gary

With what my truck cost me and what Ive put into it or have to put into it to get it running, I could have bought yours and had a much nicer and faster truck. And one with almost 120K less miles. I thinks its worth that price.

To build this truck or have it built would cost in the mid 30's. I would get it running branden and you could get mid 20's for it if you could find the right buyer. Heck I put $28k (+cost of truck) and I will have a 95,000 mile Sy and If I am lucky I will touch the 11's.

I hate to see and hear things like this and I wish you luck but keep this in mind. Seems that right now, mile for mile and condition to condition that Sy's are worth more / holding value better than Ty's. If your plan is marketing from the low miles, the fact that it's moded hurts. The fact that it's not running way hurts. If you you put it back together it will be worth more (duh) but your saying you want like 20k and it doesn't run and it will be more if you put it together and real collectiable Sy that run are just barley bringing that.

I don't mean to sound neg. or rain on your parade and I do wish you the best in getting every pennie back you have invested but it usually doesnt work that way with moded car's no matter how nice, or low the miles unless you just get lucky. Our trucks are not million dollar Hemi Cuda's (yet anyway) so just don't hang your self with a lenth of rubber hose from the rafter if you don't get what you "think" it's worth or if you do, that it takes quite a while to get it.

Like I said, all the luck in the world but why not just swallow it, work around it, re-finance it, GET A SECOND JOB and JUST KEEP IT :tup: ! It will continue to go up in value, you may be bored or fed up or whatever so set it off to the side for the winter and just chill for a while then come back to it with a new out look. I mean it will be worth more in the future so it is an "investment" right, you are smarter than the truck.... right, deep down inside you really wanted the truck when you got it and still do but are just pissed at yourself for some things you did / didn't do according to what you said above...... right? If the anwser is no to several of these then maybe all love is lost and ya gota do what ya gota do.

I had a 70' 440 Challanger conver't with minor ($600.00) worth of damage to the front end. Car was spotless and had 17,400 on the odo. I let it get away from me because it was a project that I started and lost "some" but not all interest in at the time and just had to have something to drive, that was in 84'. I have followed the car throught the years and tried to buy it back several times but kept missing it for one reason ot the other when it sold. Last year it sold at the Barret Jackson for $482,000. I have other Mopars that are worth the same or more (and a few that are worth a lot less :lol: ) but that was the only conver't I ever had. I WISH I STILL HAD THAT CAR out of all the ones I have ever had.

Dude F that dont sell, when that truck is done and running itll be better than any piece of ass, you wont care bout living with your parents, and being in debt is just a part of life. ok so you sell your truck to lose 20k in debt,just to buy a house and be 200k in debt? I too fix cars for a living and I KNOW is sucks balls to work on customer cars all damn day just to go and fix your own shit for free. when i was 18 I bought a piece of shit mustang, got like 15k in debt before i finished college to make that thing beautiful and i had the baddest low 11 sec street tire car around.....then met my current wife,forgot to pull out,sold the stang for a huge loss and I still regret it. so now im a family man,supporting a family all by myself, had to buy a wannabe ty (which i had to create more debt to buy btw) liffe goes on man I say just bite the bullet,put you head on and finish that bitch,itll all be worth it. then just bust ass at wok,turn hours and with your new raise itll be over before you know it. sorry for the long post but I had to just vent cuz ive been in you shoes when i was 23, and hate seeing people make mistakes.
