Syclone oil pres guage and fuel gauge not working, and all the lights for the dash gauges are out...oil pres works sometimes after I drive the truck for a little, the truck has been in storage for over 6 yrs, I checked all the fuses and they seem ok. Any idea what could cause this?

mine have been doing the same. gas barely moves and oil pressure is all over the place. my check gauges light will come on because of my oil so im about to just disconnect the wires from the sending unit. does you check gauges light come on. you need new sending units. fuel unit from gmc is around $325 dont know about the oil one. i dont know about trak auto parts i only get oem shit. but i work at gmc too. does anyone know if i disconnect my oil gauge if it will mess anything up?

As far as removing the Stock OIL pressure sender if you are running OEM chip in the ecm I believe you will see that it will shut off the engine... If I remember the manual correctly I think its either 90-120secs of NO OIL PSI reading it will shut off truck... Which leads me to think its another problem... read on....

Strange that it would all take dump at same time, and multiple items.. My suggestion is this:

Remove the instrument cluster from the dash and check for proper engagement of the pins that the cluster sets in (left hand side of cluster looking forward).. Possibly clean the contacts.. The cluster is nothing more than an electronic printer of the information sent to it by the ECM... It merely displays whats sent to it... If it receives intermittent data or NO data that would explain the failure of MULTIPLE items at the same time.. Especially when they fail abruptly.. Obviously you have checked all your fuses and hopefully verified that there is indeed OIL in the crankcase  (kidding, only kidding)...

Seriously pull the cluster out. If indeed the bulbs are blown then U can change those at the same time anyhow !! You will need a bulb called PC194 (I think, not 110% sure)

oh yeah one more thing..... Try pushing FORWARD on the cluster when its wacking out on ya...

Left hand side again looking forward.. If the contacts are intermittent you may see a change if the cluster isnt all the way seated... if not.. refer to above and good luck !
