I just found that in dm tonight. I was wondering how well it worked.
Is it just calculated off the recorded log data? speed x mph etc..?

I am not sure about the inner workings of it so to speak but I have a 1/4 measured out at a spot in town here and it is close to dead on with my track times. So I use it for when I get my tune feeling good to see if I am making any real progress.

A friend of mine had a gtech pro and that thing was awful, not even close to accurate, not sure if it was just a bad one or what...
In my gtp best gtech time i could muster was a 15.2, was awful pissed because i knew i should be much faster.. went to the track and ran 14.0 @98mph..
tried it in a few cars and it was way off with them too

I don't see why you don't just use Datamaster. It has always been with in a tenth +/- for me at the track and MPH is with in 1mph. And at the same time, you data log and find problems in your tune or with your truck.

I would use datamaster but the laptop I bought has vista as the running system and I havent downgraded yet. (have to do it myself with all the drivers and shit  )

I would imagine you might be close to a .5 - 1 second faster on the track then on the street with traction being the cause

Re: G-Tech Pro

Well I finally did a boost launch with the gtech tonight.

60 degrees

Gtech said I ran a 13.6@104 with a 0-60 of 5.0sec. VS 14.8@100.6 without a launch on a 73 degree night.
