Collectible production vehicles generally tend to decline in value during the first 10 years, level out between years 10 - 20, and begin appreciating beyond 20 years. So, these trucks are pretty close to bottomed out right now. So, whatever your truck is worth today, you'll probably be able to sell it for about that same amount during the next 10 years (assuming that your truck remains in its current condition).
However, automobiles are historically very poor investments. If you paid sticker for a new Sy or Ty, held onto it for 30 years, accounted for storage, maintenace, insurance, etc., and placed a time value of 10% annually on your money (a historically reasonable long term investment return)...you'd need to be able to sell it in the neighborhood of $1 million dollars!!! I doubt that's gonna' happen, so I'm trying to get $1 million worth of enjoyment out of my truck...one stop-light confrontation at a time
