funky engine problem

I have been having this problem with my typhoon. It seems what is happening is that the ignition it seems to me is breaking up sometimes at idle and under load. the engine almost skips or misfires causing interrupted acceleration it seems. I have heard that the proms in these trucks are sometimes shitty i dont know what this problem may be attributed to several things or a combination of problems any related expertise is appreciated.

Does your tach flutter? How old is your tune up? I've got a misfire and it causes bogging at low RPMs, poor idle, and I'm sure a lot more. I just picked up new wires, plugs, and cap/rotor and I'm gonna change out all my ignition components.

the stumble at idle is going to be around with almost all stock trucks, so unless its real bad i wouldnt worry about it. breaking up under load and that surging you are feeling is probably your truck pulling timing in response to detonation. replace cap and rotor, plugs, and check wires to make sure they are good. make sure fuel pressure is around 43-45 and always put the highest octane gas in it that your gas station sells at the pump. i would also double check your timing just as a precautionary measure.finally, put a scan tool on it and see how everything looks. good luck!!
