Fuel pump question

Forced to by choice
For those of you who have the A1000's. Did you install it in the tank or outside the tank, and which ever you chose to do, why? (pros cons on your choice. It says on their web page it can be mounted intank, which is why I ask.)

I'm not sure which I way I wanna go with this and need some opinions. Thanks ;)

Re: Fuel pump question

I don't own one but the advantage to having in the tank would be that the gas would help to keep it cool. The disadvantage would be that it would be in the tank... If you have a fuel cell that would be a different ball game.

Re: Fuel pump question

to my knowledge the A1000 like what I've installed several times is an external fuel pump not designed to be mounted in the tank. thats why it's got heat sinks built into it's body.

Not to second guess you John, cause I never doubt you. But check it out, the 3rd bullet from the bottom on the page. "Fully submersible for custom, in-tank placement" http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/ldetail.php?prod=3&th=1

:dunno:
