Re: Fuel pump for 500-600+RWHP
so someone help me out here, a walbro 255 ($110-120) alone isn't going to cut it past 500rwhp and it takes a pump booster ($225+) in order to get the pump to cover it so $335+ dollars to run a good pump, but harder than its meant to be run.
Or i run a A1000 pump rated for well over what i need, rated for 2000hours pump life 40k + miles min (also talked to the aeromotive and the a1000 was redesigned and flows even more now) for 299
Or i run a dual Walbro setup with 2 255's figure 220+ dollars..This doesn't sound bad at all.
Knowing if the fuel pump dies i loose a built engine and probably a turbo if played my cards right. With that i'm having a really hard time running the pump booster on a walbro when i have to buy it all right now anyways, i have a walbro 190 in the tank from when i was running a 6lb blower setup couple years ago so. I know tons and tons of people run pump boosters on walbro's but i'm just uneasy on it.. can a walbro running at 17-22 volts really be more reliable than a properly installed A1000? Now back on the dual 255 setup.. i'm interested, seems like a win win
