Fuel prob. (cont)

Ive gotten the fuel pump replaced twice on the typhoon.(both 255) problems started happening when I put the AFPR (Adjustable fuel pressure regulator) on the Typhoon. With the Fuel gauge the pressure is not steady it likes to move the needle alot. My next move it to buy a new fuel pressure reg. or maybe I should try putting the stock one back on? No clue what you guys think?

actually I forgot I did the pump first then a AFPR looks like I'll be buying another and just hoping I got sent a bad one the first time.

do you still have the vac line hooked up? that will make it move around (normal)

Local Ty has the same problem, with the exception of the fact that he doesn't have an isolator on the fuel pressure gauge, and simply a large fuel line run into the cabin (yea we know, and so does he). his ticks so bad it will drive you nuts in a few miles. The tick is caused by the injectors pulsing. The gauge is picking that up.....An isolater will fix the problem.

If you are running a mechanical gauge you should defiantely invest in an isolator. If not then ignore everythign I've said, and return to your previously scheduled thread.

How much does it move? Is it flicker?

I wanted to set it at 42 PSI vaccum unhooked but since its doing that it could be anywhere from 41-45 PSI. also it has a sputter thing and it doesnt happen till I try to roll into the throttle. if I just cruise along it seems fine. well in low rpm's
